When will this ship? Where do you ship? Is shipping free?
Orders will ship starting in October through to November! We’ll work backwards from your specific location to ensure that it arrives in time for you to be diving in on December 1st.
We’re shipping from Toronto, Ontario. Orders to Canada, USA, and the UK will ship for free! Other International destinations can be accommodated - please reach out to us with your specific request!
How many different matchas will be included?
The Matcha Advent Calendar showcases 12 distinct tea brands. We’ve put in a lot of effort to curate a unique group of matchas that showcases a wide range of regions, cultivars and tasting notes. Get ready to embark on a matcha tasting adventure every single morning this holiday season!
How is the matcha sealed and packaged?
Each matcha is individually sealed in bags before being placed in tins.
Are all your matchas organic or ceremonial grade?
While not all matchas will carry official "organic certification" (as that is a western certification), the producers behind the matchas we carry cultivate their plants with exceptional care, often avoiding pesticides entirely!
All of our matcha is indeed ceremonial grade. That being said, 'ceremonial' isn’t a regulated classification, so different vendors define it differently based on their own standards for harvest timing, processing, and quality. We pride ourselves on sourcing some of the highest quality matcha for this advent calendar from some of the best matcha tea brands.
Do your matchas contain any additional ingredients? (sweeteners, etc.)
Each matcha in the Advent Calendar will be 100% matcha powder and will not contain any other ingredients, such as dairy, gluten, or any flavouring agents.
How should I make this matcha?
You can make your matcha however you’d normally like – whether it’s a matcha latte or a thin tea "usucha," you’ll create a delicious cup. We’ll include recommendations and brew recipes in your matcha tasting journal to ensure you get the best matcha experience!
I’m ordering from the United States, will my order be affected by tariffs?
No, your order will not be impacted by US tariffs. We are shipping using a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) service and the products are CUSMA exempt. You should not see any additional tariff or duty charges. That being said, the tariff situation is evolving rapidly, and it seems like not all couriers or customs brokers are on the same page. What will happen next? Who knows. In the meantime, we just want to enjoy a tasty cup of matcha (strawberry matcha latte to be exact) and help you enjoy one too.
Can I sell the matcha advent calendar in my retail shop or cafe?
Yes! We'd love that. We've worked with cafes and retailers across North America in the past to carry our advents, and we have wholesale pricing available depending on volume. Quantities are limited and they tend to go quickly, so the earlier you reach out the better. Send us a note at our contact us page and we'll get you set up!
