Meet Kasam's Dark Chocolate Tupi 75%. The cacao beans used to make this chocolate bar come from the town of Tupi on the southern tip of the Philippines. The name originates from the word “Tufi”, which was a vine chewed by the native Blaan tribes who lived in the ancient forests of this region. Later, settlers from Luzon and Visayas arrived and began to grow a large variety of flowers, vegetables and fruits, including cacao.
For this 75% dark chocolate, we used cacao beans grown by Kablon Farms, which have notes of honeysuckle, toasted coconut, and dulce de leche.
