When will this ship? Where do you ship? Is shipping free?
This will ship early December. You’ll likely receive your box within the first week or two of December.
We’re shipping from Toronto, Ontario. Orders to Canada & the USA will ship for free! International orders will have an associated shipping fee - you can choose your preferred shipping speed during the checkout.
When will the coffees be roasted? What are the roast levels of the coffees?
The coffees will be roasted 3-7 days before it’s shipped and in the perfect freshness window for when you will be brewing the coffee. Our variety pack will be light, medium, and dark roasts, in whole bean form, with the intention of showcasing the unique characteristics of the coffees. We'll include brewing tips to help you dial in each coffee to perfection.
What are the chocolates I’ll be receiving?
Every month, we’ve carefully curated three different chocolates from a local Canadian chocolatier. They will be low ingredient bars - likely only using a few ingredients like cocoa beans & organic cane sugar and organic cocoa butter. The bar selection will range from 100% single-origin bars, to bars with all natural additives like cardamom or caramel. We’re excited for you to find your new favourite chocolate bar.
How should I brew the coffees?
You can brew these coffees however you’d normally brew your coffees—whether that’s in a drip machine or a manual brewer, you’ll still get a delicious cup. However, we’ll include brew recipes to help you make sure each cup is tasting as good as it can (if coffee recipes are your thing).
What’s the coffee quality? Is it ethical?
The coffee is roasted by the best specialty coffee roasters in Canada. We put in a lot of effort every single month to find the top coffees available for you to try - and we can’t wait for you to dive into this very unique showcase of 25 of the best roasters in Canada.
The coffee is sourced via the specialty market which is traceable with premiums paid that are often significantly higher than that of a fair trade transaction. The coffees often are relationship coffees, where there is a partnership between the roaster and the producer that has spanned for years.
